Azerbaijan's MICE tourism potential is currently being showcased at the renowned "IMEX Frankfurt" exhibition held in Germany, a pivotal event within the business events industry with the organizational support of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau.
10 local partners, including the Heydar Aliyev Center and the Baku Congress Center, alongside the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau aim to promote the diverse opportunities for business tourism in Azerbaijan and increase number of industry professionals to consider Azerbaijan as a prime destination for the events.
Throughout the course of the exhibition, representatives at the Azerbaijani stand have engaged in meetings with counterparts from various countries. These meetings serve as a platform to disseminate comprehensive information about Azerbaijan's robust business tourism infrastructure. Azerbaijan is proud to offer a modern and extensive array of services and venues, including internationally acclaimed facilities such as the Heydar Aliyev Center, Baku Congress Center, and Baku Expo Center. Additionally, participants are informed about the availability of upscale hotels and the potential to host large-scale business events in the country.
The "IMEX Frankfurt" exhibition has drawn the participation of over 2,500 tourism representatives hailing from more than 150 countries. The event will continue until May 25.
In a noteworthy context, Azerbaijan is gearing up to host several prestigious events in the near future such as the 74th International Astronautical Congress in 2023, the 99th International Session of the European Youth Parliament, the Regional Congress of the European Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery Association, and the "University Scholars Leadership" symposium in 2024.
